Candace Owens ‘Shook’ After Woman Charged With Faking Her Own Abduction Smiles in Mugshot

25-year-old Alabama woman Carlee Russell has been charged with faking her own abduction and now faces up to two years in prison.

In her mugshot, Russell was seen smiling after being charged with two misdemeanor charges of filing a false report.

Russell was released from jail after posting a $2,000 bond and her charges may cost her an additional $12,000 in fines.

Conservative commentator Candace Owens responded today to the news, as she was skeptical of the story from the beginning.

#CarleeRussell has been charged for staging her own abduction and snatching her own wig. My obsession with this story knows no limit,” Owens announced as she also shared a story about the charges.

Owens added, “The way she chose to smile in her mugshot has me shook.”

The Daily Mail has noted that the Russell family lives in a $800,000 house and both of her parents hold steady jobs.

Russell’s mother is a realtor and her father is a VP at a bank while she has worked as a spa therapist.

Questions remain over whether or not she will have to repay the $100,000 that was spent in the search for her.
