As the House floor debate on the resolution to censure U.S. House Rep. Adam Schiff (R-CA) has come to an end, Schiff sent out a tweet accusing the GOP of being the Authoritarians.
“Debate on the censure resolution just concluded and one thing was again clear: There’s a dangerous strand of authoritarianism running through today’s GOP, and silencing the opposition is a key part of their playbook.”

This is the second resolution brought forth to censure Schiff. The first failed as some Republicans were uncomfortable with the fine that was also part of the resolution. The fine has been dropped from this second resolution and it appears that a vote will take place on the House floor very soon.

During the debate on the House floor, Schiff attempted to frame himself as a victim. He claimed he is just a truth teller that the GOP is trying to silence.
Schiff is currently campaigning for a Senate seat and is using the same anti-Trump, anti-MAGA rhetoric to bolster his campaign.
We shall see shortly if Schiff is successfully censured by the House GOP.
