A number of Republicans in the U.S. House failed to support the first attempt at censuring Democrat fibber Adam Schiff, due to a $16 million fine they didn’t like.
Former and possible future President Donald Trump has called for them to be unelected in the GOP primaries.
Today, Republicans are trying again to censure Schiff for his Russia lies, minus the fine. “DC Draino” has been documenting much of the situation on Twitter.
“This is FL @RepLuna, the author of the Adam Schiff Censure bill It’s her 1st term & she isn’t there to play nice When her Schiff Censure bill died last week, she didn’t quit She punched back & refiled Sometime it takes a 34 y/o Veteran who is 7 months pregnant to fight for us”
Rep. Schiff has been using this time to play victim and fundraise for his U.S. Senate run. Ever the “drama queen”, Schiff tweeted out:
“To my Republican colleagues who introduced this sham resolution: You honor me with your enmity. You flatter me with this falsehood. Your words tell me that I have been effective in the defense of our democracy, and I am grateful.”
U.S. House Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) opined:
“One of the most outrageous wastes of hard earned tax dollars has been the Russian collusion hoax, led by Adam Schiff. Now he’s raising money and running for Senate in California as a proven liar.”
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) also chimed in:
“Adam Schiff abused his position as Chair of Intel to lie and lead America through a national nightmare with the fake Russia collusion narrative. As Speaker, I removed him from the Intel Committee, and now the full House will vote to censure him and open an ethics investigation.“
Investigator John Durham revealed some hypocrisy:
“Schiff tries to attack @DonaldJTrumpJr for getting calls from foreigners saying they have dirt Durham smacks him: “I don’t think this situation is unique in your experience” Remember: Schiff was tricked by Russian pranksters saying they had Trump dirt”
It seems today is a bad day for Schiff as this censure has a higher likelihood of getting through. We’ll stay tuned to see how things develop.
