Melania Trump became the undesired subject of numerous hit pieces over the Christmas holiday for missing the Trump family Christmas photo.
Speculation ran rampant about why the Trump family photos were missing the former First Lady.
“Melania Trump missing from festive family Christmas photo at Mar-a-Lago,” Page Six noted.
“New Melania Trump mystery: She skips family Christmas photo that features Barron, Ivanka and her own dad,” remarked the East Bay Times.
The Daily Mail was equally perplexed about the missing First Lady.

The mystery, however, has been solved: Melania Trump was looking after her very ill mother Amalija Knavs, 78 years old, who is in the hospital.
“Melania has always been very devoted to her entire family,” a source close to the former first lady told Fox News Digital. “It should be no surprise that she spent this Christmas with her ailing mother.”
Guilfoyle’s Instagram story on Tuesday evening included a huge portion of the Trump entourage in front of a Christmas tree at the ex-president’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
Viktor Knavs, Melania’s father, was also in the shot.
Former President Donald Trump, his eldest son Don Jr. and fiancée Guilfoyle, the youngest Trump child Barron, 17; Tiffany Trump and husband Michael Boulos, and Ivanka Trump with husband Jared Kushner and their three children, Arabella, 12, Joseph, 10, and Theodore, seven, are also in the photo.
Barron is the tallest of the lot, towering several inches higher than his father, who is 6’3′.
According to reports this month, Melania, 53, would increase her public appearances to assist her husband’s reelection effort.
Aside from Melania, Eric Trump and his wife Lara were also absent from the group photo in front of the Mar-a-Lago Christmas tree, which was shared on Tuesday.
Guilfoyle also shared a couple Instagram photos of herself, her fiancé Don Jr., and the ex-president in front of the holiday decorations at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club and mansion.
Thus ends yet another media hoax about the Trump family. Americans have lost count of how many we’re up to at this point.
