Ric Flair Hospitalized After Fall and Health Concerns

Wrestling icon Ric Flair was rushed to a hospital on Friday after a fall near a restaurant in Florida. This incident occurred shortly after he informed his supporters about a blood clot that prevented him from making an appearance.

The 77-year-old legend sustained injuries to his head and eye during the fall in Tampa. Reports indicate that Flair had stepped outside the restaurant when he unexpectedly fell, suffering facial injuries.

This hospital visit highlights a series of health challenges he’s faced, especially after overcoming multiple organ failure in 2017 that necessitated a medically induced coma.

Earlier this year, Flair had openly addressed the need to prioritize his health. He mentioned ongoing “health issues” and his intention to focus on well-being after a discussion regarding a trademark dispute involving his son.

On Friday, fans received disappointing news as Flair announced his absence from the Washington State Horror Con in Seattle.

In his social media update, Flair explained that a blood clot in his leg was hampering his ability to travel. He shared plans for a procedure to address the vein issue, optimistically hoping this would allow him to resume his travel schedule.

This blood clot had already caused him to miss the Cauliflower Alley Club’s annual reunion over the summer.

The reported fall coincided with his recent health update. However, it remains unclear if the blood clot contributed to the fall.

Flair’s illustrious career in professional wrestling spans across NWA, WCW, and WWE, where he is acknowledged as a 16-time world champion. His championship reigns and feuds established him as a leading figure in the industry for many years.

His legacy includes two inductions into the WWE Hall of Fame, first in 2008 and again in 2012 as part of the Four Horsemen, the legendary group he captained with Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard.
