Report: Rupert Murdoch Might Let Top-Rated Fox News Stars Go Over $1.6B Defamation Lawsuit

It has been reported that Fox Corporation Chairman might let top-rated Fox News stars go over an ongoing $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit.

According to the report, Sean Hannity, Maria Bartiromo, and Jeanine Pirro are all potentially on the chopping block.

Considering that Jeanine Pirro is a co-host on the top-rated show “The Five,” that would be quite a massive blow to the network.

Sean Hannity’s show is also consistently a top 10 highest-rated program and Bartiromo hosts a Sunday morning show that brings in good ratings.

According to the report, Murdoch replied that “They should be reprimanded” or “maybe got rid of” when asked what consequences there should be for those who “knowingly lied on air.”

Former president and 2024 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump recently said that he believes Murdoch should apologize for defending the 2020 presidential election results.

The statement from Trump came after the release of documents in Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit against the network.

Trump declared in a Truth Social post, “Rupert Murdoch should apologize to his viewers and readers for his ridiculous defense of the 2020 Presidential Election.”

“How many forms of cheating and rigging does he have to see?” Trump wondered.

Trump insisted, “He should also apologize to those anchors who got it right, and fire the ones who got it wrong, or were afraid to speak up (of which there were many!).”

“It’s time to get rid of Fake News, and call it like it is!” Trump added.
