Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss as a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden. This comes after a sweetheart plea deal fell apart.
Republicans appear concerned already that this could slow walk and protect the Bidens and doesn’t investigate Joe Biden. RNC Research posted to X:
“If Weiss had the authorities he needed, why does he need to be a special counsel? Do you still have faith in U.S. Attorney Weiss after the [Hunter Biden] deal fell apart?” Biden AG Merrick Garland: *ignores*”

Peter Doocy believes Hunter case will eventually go to trial and that overall this is bad news for Hunter even though it keeps Democrats in the catbird seat to some degree.
Many feel Garland has lost the faith of the American people.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
