McCarthy Signals ‘Red Line’ That Will Trigger Biden’s Impeachment

The House of Representatives is in its ‘important final stage’ of bringing impeachment charges against sitting President Joseph Biden.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has signaled that the Congress may ultimately decide to impeach the president, but the timeline has been uncertain.

On Tuesday, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, McCarthy gave indication of an important “red line” that the Biden administration might cross to trigger impeachment proceedings.

“What I’ve said is, if they withhold information, the impeachment inquiry allows Congress to have the apex of power to get all the information they need. All this information people are finding out now is only because Republicans have investigated,” McCarthy told Fox.

“The people of America have a right to know what went on. They have a president who lied to the American public and said they didn’t get any money from China. We know that’s true. We’ve had whistleblowers from the IRS come say the Biden family is treated differently and that other things were going on. And then you have a[n] informant with the FBI saying there was a bribe. We need to know the answer to this,” he continued.

McCarthy added that if “at any time” he felt they weren’t able to get the information they were seeking, then that “would have to rise to the level of impeachment inquiry.”

During the interview, McCarthy said that 16 of the 17 payments the Bidens allegedly received from a Romanian national went to “Biden shell companies” while Joe Biden was vice president. According to House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY), the elder Biden had been “lecturing Romania on anti-corruption policies” while being a “walking billboard for his … family to collect money.”

“When President Biden was running for office, he told the American public that he’s never talked about [Hunter’s] business. He said his family has never received a dollar from China, which we now prove is not true,” McCarthy said during the interview.

On Monday night, McCarthy appeared on “Hannity” and summed up the state of the House investigations of the Biden family’s corruption.

“They bribed the Bidens,” he said. “Okay, this was given to the FBI when Bill Barr finally found out about it, he sent it to his office in Philadelphia. They actually said that this was very credible. The FBI kept this from the IRS individuals for them ever to see it. So not only do they claim that they were bribed, we now find information that 16 out of 17 payments from Romania were provided to the Biden shell companies while he was vice president.”

“When President Biden was running for office, he told the American public that he’s never talked about business,” he noted. “He said his family has never received a dollar from China, which we now prove is not true. We now have some of the most credible whistleblowers. These 10-year IRS agents who have come forward said that the Biden family has been treated differently.”

“That what Weiss has told us is different than what Garland and Weiss has told the public,” he continued. “And you’re sitting here today where now you have found millions of foreign money just with the 1023 alleges they did to Biden’s family. Now we found that it has funneled through shell companies.”

“If you’re sitting in our position today, we would know none of this, if Republicans had not taken the majority,” he added. “We’ve only followed where the information has taken us. But this is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress the strongest power to get the rest of the knowledge and information needed. Because this president has also used something we have not seen since Richard Nixon used the weaponization of government to benefit his family and deny Congress the ability to have the oversight.”

According to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, the GOP’s inquiry into the Biden family’s finances is now reaching its ‘important final stage.’ They are scrutinizing over $17 million in foreign funds received by the Biden family and investigating alleged preferential treatment given by the Justice Department to Hunter Biden in an ongoing criminal investigation related to gun and tax crimes.

Recent revelations from The New York Post have further intensified the situation. The report indicates that the President was involved in at least 24 calls with Hunter’s business partners, including individuals from the Ukrainian oil company Burisma, despite previous assurances from the White House denying such involvement. It is expected that Devon Archer, one of Hunter’s business associates, will testify to the House Oversight Committee led by Chairman James Comer about these interactions.

Chairman Jordan expressed his concerns about the source of the money received by the Bidens. With multiple shell companies and various members of the Biden family receiving payments, he questioned the nature of the services or value they provided, suggesting that access to then-Vice President Biden might be the only plausible explanation.

Regarding the potential for impeachment articles against Attorney General Merrick Garland, Jordan remarked that it is a matter for the full conference to decide.

“But the speaker has been very clear, Speaker McCarthy has said if we have to go to an impeachment inquiry, we will, in fact, do that,” Jordan said, noting that “evidence keeps piling up.”

“It sure looks like we’re moving in that direction at a quick pace, but that’s a question for the full conference,” he said.
