Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar has recommended that criminal charges be filed in relation to the transportation of 49 illegal immigrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard last September.
Allegedly Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was behind the relocation of the illegal immigrants.
The sheriff’s department conducted an investigation into the matter and at the conclusion has recommended charges, but against who remains up in the air.
Bexar County Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Johnny Garcia shared, “At this time, the case is being reviewed by the DA’s office. Once an update is available, it will be provided to the public.
“We’re not naming the suspect at this time or the amount of charges that are being filed.”
This comes as no surprise as Bexar County seems to move against the Republican-led state. In one instance Bexas County D.A. announced he would not follow Texas general attorney in labeling children transitioning as child abuse.
Sheriff Salazar declared he would not enforce pro-life laws.
In September of 2022, Martha’s Vineyard received a plane full of illegal immigrants which came from Texas.
The illegal immigrants were quickly moved off the island, residents had claimed they were unprepared to facilitate them.
The state of Texas has been overrun with hoards of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border.
Even those detained are released into the interior of the United States. Texas Governor Gregg Abbott started to bus illegals to various sanctuary cities across the United States.
Abbott gave a statement on the busing of illegal immigrants, “Texas’ overwhelmed and overrun border communities should not have to shoulder the flood of illegal immigration due to President Biden’s reckless open border policies.”
He shared he plans to continue to bus the illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities “to provide much-needed relief to our small border towns.”
We will see if the Bexar D.A. to bring charges and against who.
