Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is turning heads with his recent remarks pushing back against a number of Biden policies, and in particular, its open border policies that have fueled out-of-control immigration.
Fetterman ripped Biden’s destructive border policies in a Fox News interview.
“If you look at the numbers, it’s almost 270,000 encounters and that’s a lot,” he said. “It’s not xenophobic to have a conversation about border security.”
In an extensive CNN interview, Fetterman also emphasized that border security is a real issue after Jake Tapper cited his quote and noted that he rejected the label of being a “progressive.” The CNN host then asked him what he would call himself.
“I would just call myself a Democrat,” Fetterman responded. “And I believe that I am on the right side of issues, whether that’s being very pro-choice, I believe that is being pro-union, and I believe that being pro-Israel.”
“There’s absolutely different kinds of opinions in the Democratic Party,” Fetterman claimed.
“I really haven’t been able to find anybody that can say there’s not any kind of issue right now on the border that has around 275,000 people being encountered on the border just in one month,” he continued.
“And to put that in perspective, as I’ve said before, that’s the size of Pittsburgh,” he added. “And if roughly the size of Pittsburgh is showing up on the border, if that’s what you need to say ‘that’s fine, that’s not really an issue’ as a ‘progressive’ then I guess that’s why I wouldn’t be a progressive.”
“But I have remained, and will always be, very, very pro-immigration, perhaps as much anybody in there,” he said.
It wasn’t the only Democratic Party talking point that Fetterman refuted. He defended Israel, criticized the sale of U.S. Steel to Japan, and told people to get off of TikTok.
Who is this man? And what has he done with John Fetterman?
The Pennsylvania senator, perhaps paradoxically, ripped into political analyst James Carville for warning that Biden was in danger of losing the 2024 election.
“There’s a whole lifetime in politics between now and next November as well. I’m not worried about that. And I’m very vocal about this, too, while there are Democrats that are being very critical about the president. … I’ll use this [as] another opportunity to tell James Carville to shut the f*** up,” Fetterman told Politico regarding Biden’s polling.
James Carville, who coined the phrase “it’s the economy, stupid,” has said that Joe Biden’s recent poll numbers are “alarming” for his re-election campaign. Read my @DailyCaller NF story for his full remarks on the subject. https://t.co/z5UVFPw6I5

“My man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing,” Fettterman added. “And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent president. I’ll never understand that.”
“I really am not worried about that because he is my guy,” Fetterman told Politico. “And he is going to be the Democrats’ guy, and I’m proud to campaign with him.”
John Fetterman truly is a man of mystery.
