James Bond actor Jeffrey Wright, known for his role in MGM productions, has alleged that former President Donald Trump started a fight at Arlington National Cemetery this week.
This incident occurred while the current Republican presidential candidate was attending a memorial service to honor the 13 American service members who lost their lives during the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 under the Biden-Harris administration.
Jeffrey Wright’s accusation seems to be based on a misinterpretation of an NPR report. The report alleged that Trump campaign staff had an “altercation” with a cemetery official who stopped them from taking photos in a restricted area.
The Trump campaign is disputing NPR’s story.
“There was no physical altercation as described and we are prepared to release footage if such defamatory claims are made,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement.
“The fact is that a private photographer was permitted on the premises and for whatever reason an unnamed individual, clearly suffering from a mental health episode, decided to physically block members of President Trump’s team during a very solemn ceremony,” he continued.
Let’s please just have a POTUS who doesn’t start a fight in a cemetery. That’d be nice. Small things.

On Monday, Trump participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery to honor the 13 service members who died on August 26, 2021, as a result of the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Cheryl Juels, the aunt of Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole L. Gee, one of the service members who was killed, issued a statement saying that they “absolutely welcomed and appreciated having video and photography there.”
Neither Kamala Harris nor Joe Biden attended Monday’s memorial service. Biden was on vacation in Delaware, and while Harris’s activities were not specified, her staff did release a statement.
Kamala Harris has consistently avoided discussing the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal during her campaign appearances.
Mainstream news outlets have also steered clear of the topic, despite reports that Harris was the last person to speak with President Biden before the administration decided to proceed with the ill-fated withdrawal.
