Hollywood Star of ‘Succession’ Blasts ‘Truly Awful’ Woke Culture

Hollywood star of the hit HBO show “Succession” Brian Cox is issuing a warning to Hollywood about “awful” woke culture in an interview with Piers Morgan.

“The whole woke culture is truly awful,” Cox told Morgan.

“Who are the arbiters of this shaming? It turns out it’s usually a bunch of millennials,” he said.

“What I can’t stand, I can’t stand the way we want to rewrite history, he continued. “I can’t stand the way we don’t want to acknowledge history and it’s so important to acknowledge what our history is because that defines who we are.”

“And where we’ve got to go and without an acknowledging history we are screwed,” he went on. “You’re well and truly screwed.”

Cox has reascended to fame after playing media mogul Logan Roy in the hit TV show “Succession,” whose story is loosely based on Rupert Murdoch.

Logan Roy captivated audiences with his crass and ruthless navigation of the seedy corporate underworld, and particularly, his struggle to lead his company in the face of dire health issues and amid squabbling, foul-mouthed children.

Since its debut in 2018, “Succession” has consistently captivated audiences, garnering critical acclaim. Across the show’s first three seasons, it has amassed an impressive tally of 48 Emmy nominations, with 13 victories to its credit.

“Succession” has etched its name in Emmy history as its trio of lead actors, Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, and Jeremy Strong, all secured nominations for lead actor in a drama. This extraordinary feat marks the highest number of nominations ever received by a single show in this category.

Now, Cox has etched his name among the ranks of the few remaining Hollywood actors with a bit of common sense.
