A delay has been granted in an upcoming hearing in a case involving former President Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, Judge Aileen Cannon agreed to delay the case initially scheduled for Friday, July 14th to Tuesday, July 18th. The delay which was granted was requested by Walt Nauta’s attorney.
Nauta is an aide to the former president and has been charged along with Trump in the case involving documents Trump allegedly took with him when he left the White House.
Trump’s attorney has also filed a motion to delay the case until after the 2024 election. It is unclear at this time if that motion will be granted.
Trump has been charged with 37 counts alleging he mishandled classified documents which he has pled not guilty to.
The delayed hearing was to address how materials are to be managed in the case.
With the news that Trump’s case has been delayed less than a week from the original date, many liberals are “losing their minds” over the small delay.
One Twitter user wants to see the judge replaced over the delay.
“Trump’s aide and co-defendant Nauta wants to delay a Friday hearing bc his attorney has another engagement. That’s BS, if she can’t show up, then another attorney from her office should replace her. Criminal cases always take precedent over every other case”

CNN has labeled the delay “unnecessary”.

Trump’s attorney’s request for the long-term delay has yet to be addressed. It seems the left is nervous that it may just be granted.
