Bill Maher Wrecks Bragg’s ‘Hush Money’ Case Against Trump with 2018 Clip of Stormy Daniels

Leave it to Bill Maher to do the dirty work the mainstream media refuses to do.

In his “Real Time” show on Friday, Maher went to the show archives to pull a 2018 clip of “star witness” Stormy Daniels, an adult film actress whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.

“I mean, the Democrats have had four years to put Trump on trial and it is all just going away. They blew it at every turn,” Maher confessed.

“Here’s what’s happened this week,” he said. “Georgia … They’re gonna take up Trump’s argument about Fani Willis. You know, she’s the prosecutor: she’s having an affair with the guy she hired. I mean, it’s not really relevant to the case, but they left an opening. And now that one’s gonna be delayed.”

“The stolen documents one. That’s never gonna happen because that’s a Trumpy judge down there. So it’s Stormy or bust,” Maher remarked.

Trump critics frequently complain about Southern Florida District Judge Aileen Cannon because she has been a thorn in the side of Special Prosecutor Jack Smith.

Maher continued, “If this one doesn’t work, and she’s a bad witness, because… let me show you a little video. This is when I had Stormy on in 2018, and first I asked her why she had sex with Trump, listen to that, and then listen to what she says after that, and then we’re going to talk about the trial, because it’s quite at variance with what she told me in 2018.”

Maher: Why did you fu*k Donald Trump?

Daniels: “I have no idea. It is not a me too case. I wasn’t assaulted. I wasn’t raped. I wasn’t attacked or raped, or coerced or blackmailed. They tried to shove me in to the me too box.”

“That’s now what she’s saying now,” Maher remarked.

As reported by the Daily Caller, Stormy Daniels’s testimony Tuesday nearly derailed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump as the adult film actress went into salacious details about her alleged “sexual encounter” with the former president.

Judge Juan Merchan subsequently denied the defense’s request for a mistrial, although he conceded thatmany of the details offered by Daniels would have been left better “unsaid.”

On Friday, Former U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman ripped apart the Trump show trial in Manhattan with some pointed remarks about Judge Juan Merchan’s tolerance for highly loose rules of evidence.

“So what I’m shocked to hear is the lack of this judge referencing what we call Rule 403 and 404 of the rules of evidence. And that is, in essence, these are rules to prevent confusion, to prevent waste of time, and to prevent evidence from coming in that’s not relevant,” he said.

“What we have so far is actually evidence that is completely confusing, it is a waste of time, and it is entirely irrelevant,” he added.”So it tells me that what is happening in this courtroom is not necessarily a concerted effort by a judge to make sure that certain facts are admitted to this jury and certain are not.”

“In fact, the judge seems to be participating in this charade, this show of a trial,” he concluded.

WATCH:

Judge Merchan has been strongly criticized for allowing former adult film actress Stormy Daniels go on at length with salacious remarks that are not relevant to the case.

On Friday, Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg’s paralegal admitted in court that the office deleted some call records between witness Michael Cohen and Dylan Howard, raising questions of whether or not the prosecutors have “obstructed an official proceeding.”

Trump’s legal team got witness Jaden Jarmel-Schneider to confirm that some calls were erased from an exhibit of calls. Trump’s lawyer Emil Bove said it was about three pages of records.

While Jarmel-Schneider objected to Bove characterizing the call deletions as “significant,” he did acknowledge some calls were removed. The Manhattan court development is significant because it means that the incomplete records submitted to the court were arguably misleading.

Serial liar and convicted felon Michael Cohen is expected to testify on Monday.

It will be fascinating to see what Judge Merchan allows to be submitted into evidence.

But based on the court proceedings thus far, Judge Merchan is leading a kangaroo court that is engaged in a sham trial against a former president.

Meanwhile, it is taking the leading presidential contender away from a critical election campaign, while taking away from his financial resources.

The State of New York is engaged in a hostile action against American voters for the blatant purpose of election interference.

It has become abundantly clear from both the political timing and the court proceedings that the goal of these trials is not justice, but disenfranchisement.
