Jill Biden Reveals Distressing Reaction to Joe’s Debate Performance

In a recent CBS News interview, Jill Biden opened up about her husband Joe Biden’s debate performance against Donald Trump on June 27, 2024. She expressed shock and fear, suggesting that she initially thought something was seriously wrong with him.

During the discussion, set to air over the weekend, the former First Lady recalled, “I was frightened, because I had never ever seen Joe like that before or since. I thought, ‘Oh, my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death,” reflecting her genuine distress.

The debate, which occurred in Atlanta and was hosted by CNN, marked a pivotal moment in the 2024 election. At 81, Biden delivered slow, unclear responses and even made puzzling claims, such as asserting that his administration had “beat Medicare.”

These circumstances led to widespread discussions about Biden’s age and mental acuity, contradicting narratives pushed by mainstream media attempting to downplay concerns regarding his cognitive decline.

In the wake of the debate, urgency grew among Democrats, with increased pressure on Biden to reconsider his candidacy. The following day, he acknowledged at a North Carolina rally that he did not debate as effectively as before.

Amidst family and party discussions, Joe eventually announced on July 21, 2024, that he would suspend his re-election campaign, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.

Jill Biden’s remarks are part of her media tour promoting her memoir, where she has previously defended her husband’s fitness both during and after the campaign.
