Trump Intensifies Warning to Iran: ‘No More Gentle Approach!’

President Donald Trump has ramped up his rhetoric against Iran, delivering a stark warning on Truth Social amid a prolonged U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and stagnant diplomatic efforts.

“Iran can’t get their act together. They don’t know how to sign a nonnuclear deal. They better get smart soon!” Trump stated early Wednesday.

The post included a striking AI-generated image of Trump holding a gun against a backdrop of explosions, with the phrase “NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!” prominently displayed.

This firm tone comes as the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz persists, with uncertainty surrounding the next steps in discussions with Tehran. Recent attempts to advance negotiations stalled after U.S. officials canceled a planned trip to Islamabad.

Trump remarked to Fox News, asserting, “We have all the cards,” and indicated that Iran must initiate any dialogue, reinforcing his stance that they need to come to the table on American terms.

In a recent development, Iran proposed a reopening of the Strait if the U.S. lifts its blockade and peace is established, as confirmed by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

This proposal would defer discussions on Iran’s nuclear activity. Reports indicate Trump is not satisfied with Iran’s conditions, leading the White House to prepare a counterproposal.

As tensions persist, markets have reacted accordingly, with West Texas Intermediate futures rising by 2.82% to $102.75, while Brent futures increased by 3% to settle at $114.62.

Further complicating the situation, the United Arab Emirates has announced its exit from OPEC, stirring concerns about the global oil supply landscape.
