This morning, a serious bus collision took place just outside the Pentagon, involving two commuter buses. The incident happened around 7:20 a.m. on the Metro Access Road, a busy route leading to the Pentagon complex.
According to authorities, an OmniRide bus collided with a Fairfax Connector bus, prompting a swift emergency response. First responders quickly arrived to assist the injured.
Reports indicate that 23 passengers were hurt, with 10 of those being personnel from the Department of War. Eighteen individuals were transported to local hospitals for assessment, while five received on-site treatment and were released shortly thereafter.
Details concerning the severity of the injuries remain unclear, and the cause of the crash has yet to be determined. The Pentagon Force Protection Agency is currently investigating the matter.
