Former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel was dumped by NBC on Tuesday after being hired by the company on Friday, according to an internal memo obtained by NPR that was reportedly sent to staffers by NBC Chairman Cesar Conde.
On Wednesday, Elon Musk took to his platform, X, to rip NBC for hiring and “immediately” firing McDaniel.
In a post, Musk declared, “NBC just hired & immediately fired Ronna McDaniel, because the team refused to let even one Republican join them – that’s how biased they are!”
The post was made in a repost of X user Wall Street Silver who had shared a quote from Musk where he said, “With rare exception, almost the entire legacy media industry is a politically far left cheering squad.”

Conde claimed in the email sent to staffers that “No organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned.”
“Over the last few days, it has become clear that this appointment undermines that goal,” Conde explained.
Conde then said, “I want to personally apologize to our team members who felt we let them down.”
“While this was a collective recommendation by some members of our leadership team, I approved it and take full responsibility for it,” Conde added.
Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, and Nicolle Wallace were among the MSNBC hosts who gave on-air rebukes over the hiring.
