A morose left-wing ‘activist’ group has created a festive video depicting Santa Claus contracting COVID and passing away on Christmas Eve.
The video, created by The John Snow Project, a self-described source for “Reliable, honest information on COVID-19 from public health, clinical, and research experts,” is presented in the style of a children’s book.
It reads “Twas the night before Christmas and Santa took a deep breath,” with the next page showing a large coffin surrounded by sad elves and distraught children.
The creepy voiceover states: “Twas the night before Christmas. Santa took a deep breath. If only he’d known it would lead to his death. Santa always listened when the famous doctors spoke. Too bad they didn’t mention that the virus spreads like smoke.”
The video then pushes pushing “respirators (masks), clean indoor air, the latest vaccines, and regular testing,” and instructs “Don’t let COVID ruin Christmas.”
Comments are disabled for the YouTube video, and on X, comments are limited to accounts specified by the organization. Curious about the reasoning behind this?
This latest miserable modern trend seems to be usurping, attacking, destroying, or even killing Christmas in this case.
They’ve messed up nearly everything else, so why not target the few remaining sources of joy in the world?

Well then perhaps we should ban all things from children and make them all as miserable as yourself. This doesn’t teach them anything about lying. In fact it actuallly has significant positives that it teches children not to mention enjoyment. Then again, I guess we should ban everything from spiderman to Micky Mouse and anything else that may give some derivitive of pleasure to children because some mopes just want the world to be as miserable as they are.

That depends on who is doing the teaching. There are many lessons that can be learned from the experience. Like many things in life it’s how they are approached and how they are put into perspective. I had smaller cousin who was hospitalized weeks prior to Christmas and was in a room with an older boy about 14, my cousin was just 7. Of course the older boy told him there was no Santa. Christmas eve, my little cousing was allowed to come home for the holiday, he did so with a long face and I asked why so he told me.
My response, was that we should check the encyclopedia, being a family that puts value on education, he understood the value of the encyclopedia. Anyhow, a look for Sata gave a redirect to St. Nicholas. That said, it spoke to the spirit and the meaning of Christmas and did so very eloquently. It told of how Santa is a part of that spirit, how he brings the spirit of giving as part of how we should treat each other just to sum it up.
Anyhow, the little guy lightened up and now saw Santa in a different light, but no less meaningful. He is now a father, and charishes that lesson and is set to pass it on to his children. Non of that is a lie, and anything that can provide a valuable lesson and help to better an individual is not a lie. We have so many stories, parablels, etc…etc.. that carry valuable lessons. It all depends on how you appraoch them in your own life.
Now, I can’t speak tothe experience of everyone, but it astounds me how some believe they should impart their own miserable dispositions on others. That is most likely and sad indictment of thier own experince no doubt. To the contrary, i am not “GONE” as you put it, and using caps to enphasise your view does little to give it credibilty, in fact, it more aptly demonstrates an improvidence of though. I hope for your sake, that your miserable disposition may one day rise above believing that it is the only thing you have to share. All the best to you in this New Year.
Well, that’d be a shame, except St Nicholas actually did die, in the 4thcentury, and Christmas carried on well without him, as it would do without this false imitation of him. Christmas has NOTHING to do with”Santa Claus”; it’s a celebration of Jesus Christ, hence Christ mass or Christmas!
