Last Thursday, when Craven was speaking to Rivers in an interview, she asked the now-arrested assailant several questions on the topic of abortion as well as Planned Parenthood, leading up to Rivers punching Craven in the face, leaving her bloodied.

Video of the interview later posted on social media showed the full interaction, with Rivers walking up to Craven and her husband taking video, appearing bubbly and wanting to talk. Craven asked Rivers about her opinion on Planned Parenthood, abortion, as well as other topics.
At one point in the conversation, Rivers said that it is better to kill an unborn baby with an abortion than to give the child up for adoption when he or she is born and then spoke about how there are too many cases of kids not getting taken care of and does not want to pay taxes to support children without their parents.
When Craven then asked her if that means kids in foster care should just be killed, Rivers responded, “Why not?”
Later on in the conversation, she exclaimed to Craven that she did not “understand the magnitude of having a child.” Craven argued back, saying, “I’m not the one who admitted they would be OK with killing babies in foster care and killing children that have been abused.”
“That’s not the point. What I’m saying is…,” Rivers said, beginning to respond, and then dropped her belongings, punching Craven in the face, then walked off and said “suck my d*ck” to Cravens husband.
Rivers later wrote on social media, “To Savannah, I sincerely apologize, but cannot sit around and allow you to continue pushing this one sided narrative. I understand hands being put on someone is never the answer, but throwing rocks and hiding hands is worse.”
“She knows the truth and she needs to release the footage in its entirety. Savannah is a professional antagonist not a ‘reporter’ and the truth will be told,” the assailant added.
