President Donald Trump made headlines Tuesday morning with a surprise rooftop walk on the West Wing of the White House, leaving reporters stunned and amused.
Clad in his signature navy suit and red tie, the president emerged unannounced above the press briefing room, flanked by aides and architect James McCrery, and offered a quick explanation for his elevated presence.
“Just taking a little walk,” Trump chuckled down at the press corps.
He then joked:
“Just another way to spend my money for this country — maybe we’ll put nuclear missiles up here.”
