Watch: Trump Cheered on at Yankee Stadium by Fans

President Trump attended Yankees-Tigers game at Yankee Stadium on Thursday night.

Trump delivered a pep talk to the New York Yankees on Thursday before they faced the Detroit Tigers.

The team responded with a dominant 9–3 win at Yankee Stadium, with Trump looking on.

Clubhouse Meeting

Trump greeted players in the clubhouse before the game.

“You’re gonna win. You’re gonna go all the way,” he told the team.

Slugger Aaron Judge shook Trump’s hand, then homered in the first inning for his 45th of the season.

Judge hit another home run two innings later, his 46th.

“You’re a fantastic player. … You’re an unbelievable player,” Trump told Judge before the game.

Trump shook hands with several players and signed at least one autograph.

When Trump was shown on the big screen during the national anthem, the stadium erupted with cheers and chants of “USA, USA.”

There were also scattered boos from some sections.

Later in the second inning, the Yankees’ announcer formally introduced Trump as the “45th and 47th President of the United States.”

Watching the Game

Trump viewed the matchup from the Steinbrenner family suite, protected by bulletproof glass.

Owner Hal Steinbrenner and team president Randy Levine sat nearby.

Security was tight, with Secret Service agents stationed in the stands and on rooftops.

Several Republican lawmakers from New York attended, including Reps. Mike Lawler, Nick LaLota, Nicole Malliotakis, and Elise Stefanik.

Trump administration officials such as Attorney General Pam Bondi, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, and FHFA Director Bill Pulte were also present.

Conservative commentator Bill O’Reilly was seen chatting with Trump.

Trump Departure

The president left in the seventh inning after “God Bless America” was performed.

Fans sent him off with chants of “Donald Trump! Donald!”

Trump even broke into his signature “YMCA” dance, drawing laughter from the crowd.

Two Detroit players mimicked the dance after reaching base.

9/11 Anniversary

The visit came on the solemn anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Pennsylvania.

Vice President JD Vance marked the day by accompanying Charlie Kirk’s casket on Air Force Two from Utah to Arizona.

Trump, reflecting on security concerns after Kirk’s assassination a day earlier, told reporters: “I’m only concerned for the country.”

“We have a great country and we have a radical left group of lunatics out there,” he said.
