Tim Walz was confronted tonight on his lie that he was in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacres in China.
He went through this long and meandering answer where he claimed he “misspoke” in order to cover for his lies.
Brennan followed up and forced him to answer the question, which was to explain the discrepancy between the truth, which has been exposed by the local media, and his lie about how he was in Hong Kong when he wasn’t.
Walz then turned into a stumbling mess because, for the first time in this debate, he was called out on a lie.
And he looked like it.
