Speaker Johnson is already getting bad feedback from President-elect Trump’s new DOGE crew, with Elon Musk tweeting out that this bill should not pass:

Johnson was asked about this a little while ago and he explained that he, Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are on a text chain and he was explaining to them last night that he doesn’t like the spending either, but said we must pass it anyway to clear the deck for President Trump. He also noted the razor thin majority and said any bill like this must have at least some Democrat votes.

Rand Paul had some tough words for Speaker Johnson, saying he’s a weak man and that even considering this bill means it is a ‘sad day for America’.
I had hoped to see @SpeakerJohnson grow a spine, but this bill full of pork shows he is a weak, weak man.
The debt will continue to grow. Ultimately the dollar will fail. Democrats are clueless and Big Gov Republicans are complicit.
