White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was put on the spot Monday after Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked the question millions of Americans are still wondering:
“What happened to the Epstein client list that the attorney general said she had on her desk?”
Leavitt’s response? A carefully worded walkback that dodged the substance of the question, failed to address the public’s concern.
Bondi’s February Claim Goes Viral Again
Back in February 2025, Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox’s John Roberts:
“It’s sitting right now on my desk to review. That’s been a directive by President Trump.”
She was referring to the so-called Epstein client list — the names of powerful individuals allegedly tied to Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring. Bondi also claimed she was reviewing JFK and MLK files at the same time.
WATCH THE EXCHANGE:
Doocy: “So what happened to the Epstein client list that the attorney general said she had on her desk?”
Leavitt: “She was saying the entirety of all of the paperwork in relation to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. That’s what she was referring to.”

Conservatives Are Not Letting It Slide
The exchange has reignited frustration with Bondi’s handling of the Epstein files — and Leavitt’s evasive answer only made things worse.
- Robby Starbuck: “Was she lying then or is she lying now?”
- Savanah Hernandez: “She should step down as Attorney General for lying to the American public.”
- Liz Wheeler: “If I’m President Trump, I would not tolerate this behavior anymore.”
