During Wednesday’s session on the House floor, Democrat Representative Ayanna Pressley went on a racist rant against white men.
On Wednesday, the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing in response to a report uncovering widespread sexual misconduct and harassment within the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
On Wednesday, FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg faced intense scrutiny from lawmakers as they interrogated him about the toxic workplace environment within his agency.
Republican lawmakers called for Gruenberg’s resignation.
On Wednesday, GOP Representative Patrick McHenry slammed Gruenberg:
“You never have apologized in your written statements, in press reports…for your actions in this report. There is no apology for the people you have berated over the last 13 years at the agency or actually the last 20 years…Do you apologize to the people that you affected?”
Squad member Ayanna Pressley launched a tirade targeting white men as she attacked Gruenberg.
“I am so tired of white men failing up. This lack of accountability is shameful, inadequate, and deeply unsatisfactory, and it is retraumatizing,” Rep. Pressley said.
Just imagine if a white congressman made an equivalent racist remark about African Americans…
