WATCH: Comedian Bill Burr Defends ‘Hilarious’ Wife for Flipping Off Donald Trump at UFC Match

The comedian publicly stood up for his wife, Nia Renée Hill, after she was caught giving the finger to former President Donald Trump at the Ultimate Fighting Championship 295 event.

“I love my wife,” Burr said of the incident on the Rich Eisen Show. “You know where you stand with her.”

Trump, a major enthusiast of the American mixed martial arts scene, entered Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday night with UFC President Dana White, Tucker Carlson, Kid Rock, and his son Don Jr.

Amid cheers from the crowd, Trump made his way to his ringside seat in front of Burr and Hill to watch the featherweight fight between Diego Lopes and Pat Sabatini.

The 54-year-old actress, writer, and producer Hill was caught on arena cameras, wearing a black shirt and jeans, flipping both middle fingers in the air.

The video of Hill flipping the double bird at Trump quickly surfaced on social media, leading commentators to criticize the star of “Old Dads.”

“Donald Trump walked into an arena that holds 20,000 people, and 19,999 people were so happy. And then there was Bill Burr’s wife,” The Post Millennial editor Libby Emmons posted.

However, some fans cheered for Hill. “This is what free speech is all about! I fought for it, doesn’t mean I have to agree with it! Do your thing, young lady,” another commented.

Not surprisingly, Burr stood with the supporters of his wife and spoke up for her First Amendment rights.

“The guy walked into the arena, everybody cheered, she gave him the finger, nobody got arrested,” he said on The Rich Eisen Show. “That’s why this country’s great!”

“Everybody expressed themselves,” added Burr. “Can we all be adults? She’s hilarious.”

Burr, who has two young kids with Hill, was surprised that the moment went viral.

“I don’t know about you, but I came there to go to the fights,” Burr said. “I didn’t know I was going to the Republican National Convention.”

Burr added, “It’s like those Trump guys — they’re always going, ‘You snowflakes, eff your feelings,’ and all of that, and then you make fun of Trump, and they’re like, ‘Oh my God, that’s so disrespectful!’”

It’s not hard to see why Bill Burr makes fun of her constantly in his act; she appears to be worthy of mockery. What do you say when your life and career is so obscure that the only thing anyone ever knew you for was flipping someone the bird? Her moment in the sun; wow, what an influencer. The high point in a Demorrhoid’s career.

It’s a nothingburger. Props to Burr for defending his wife; whether he did so privately is another matter, but it’s good that he stuck to her side publicly, even if he disagreed with her. Couples should stand by each other publicly, period.

So what if she flipped off Trump? Is that any different in substance from saying “FJB” or “Fck Joe Biden” or even “Let’s Go Brandon!” which everyone knows means FJB? No, it’s not.

So everyone who got bent out of shape over this needs to grow up a little more.
