A Carnival cruise ship turned into a floating fight club early Monday when a late-night brawl erupted among passengers, reportedly over chicken tenders.
According to the New York Post, the altercation broke out in the dining area around 2 a.m., the final night of the ship’s voyage back to Miami. The dispute spiraled out of control and quickly drew in about two dozen passengers.
Video footage shows chaos erupting as several young cruisers traded wild punches, knocking each other to the ground while bystanders scrambled to avoid the scuffle. Shoes, phones, and personal items could be seen flying across the room.
“Over Chicken Tenders Is Crazy”
Passenger Mike Terra, who filmed the viral clip, could be heard in disbelief saying, “Over chicken tenders is crazy.”
Terra later told the Daily Mail that while there may have been “more to it,” the fight “basically started over chicken tenders.”
On his Facebook account, Terra added:
“I always hear Carnival is ghetto/ratchet. I have been cruising for years, but this is my first time seeing some action on a ship I was on.”
One particularly viral moment showed a security guard briefly running from the melee, reaching for his radio instead of intervening directly.
Carnival’s History of Onboard Brawls
This is not the first time Carnival Cruises has made headlines for unruly passenger behavior.
In April 2025, Carnival banned 24 passengers after a brawl broke out while guests were disembarking the Carnival Jubilee, according to USA Today.
In June 2025, a violent beatdown involving multiple guests saw chairs thrown and led to several passengers being banned for life.
