Alec Baldwin lost his cool in New York City after being confronted by a Trump impersonator who pushed all the right buttons—until Baldwin finally snapped.
The Hollywood actor, who famously played Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, was unloading luggage from his SUV when comedian Jason Scoop, in full Trump mode, approached him on the street. Scoop wasted no time needling Baldwin over everything from the 2024 presidential election to Baldwin’s criminal case.
Baldwin, initially silent as he wrestled with his bags, tried to ignore the taunts. But Scoop kept pressing, offering Baldwin a “total pardon” for the fatal Rust shooting if he would “kiss the ring.”
“Alec, it’s your favorite president,” Scoop said, keeping up the act. “I will offer you a total pardon because I want to be friends. I will give you a total pardon for murdering that woman if you kiss the ring.”
That’s when Baldwin, clearly fed up, turned and issued a chilling threat.
“If this camera wasn’t here, I’d snap your f*ing neck in half and break your f*ing neck right over,” Baldwin told Scoop, staring him down.
Scoop, unfazed, laughed it off, continuing his mock-Trump speech. “Alec Baldwin, ladies and gentlemen—class act, believe me!”

The encounter quickly went viral, racking up over 629,000 views in a matter of hours. Social media erupted with reactions, some mocking Baldwin’s lack of composure, while others blasted Scoop for poking the bear.
Baldwin, no stranger to public blowups, faced involuntary manslaughter charges for the 2021 Rust set shooting that left cinematographer Halyna Hutchins dead. The case was a legal and PR nightmare for the actor, and the latest outburst isn’t likely to help.
Both the lead actor and a producer on the film, Baldwin was rehearsing a scene when a revolver he was holding discharged a live round, killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza. Baldwin maintained that he never pulled the trigger, only cocked the hammer, and that he was unaware the gun contained live ammunition.
An investigation into the incident found multiple safety violations on set, leading to both lawsuits and criminal charges. In early 2023, Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter, but prosecutors dropped the charges in April after forensic evidence suggested the gun may have been modified.
However, a forensic report in 2024 determined Baldwin must have pulled the trigger, leading to a grand jury indictment in January. Despite this, prosecutors dropped their appeal to reinstate the case in December 2024, effectively ending the criminal proceedings against Baldwin.
Although Baldwin is no longer facing criminal charges, civil lawsuits from Hutchins’ family are ongoing, targeting Baldwin and the Rust production team.
Scoop, meanwhile, seemed to relish the moment, calling Baldwin a “strong guy” but adding, “He’s got more balls than De Niro.” As for Baldwin, it appears he’s once again learning a lesson the hard way—when it comes to Trump impressions, he’s not the only one who can dish it out.
