President Donald Trump guided Vice President JD Vance to his old and now new office — the Oval Office — for the first time on Wednesday.
“Wow,” Vance laughed in disbelief in the video. “This is incredible.”

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) shot the video of Vance’s first visit to the Oval Office.
“I told him and President Trump that I HAD to capture the moment on video,” Johnson shared on X.
“Only in America can a hardworking young man from Appalachia rise from his humble circumstances to enter the Oval for first time as VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. What a country!”
Before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2022, Vance garnered fame for his 2016 bestselling memoir Hillbilly Elegy.
The novel was later adapted into a Netflix film starring Glenn Close and Amy Adams.
Vance’s memoir shares his experience growing up in a working, lower-class family in Middletown, Ohio.
His mother struggled with drug addiction, and Vance lacked a stable father figure in his life.
However, through joining the Marine Corps, Vance was able to chart his path into becoming a husband, father, senator, and now vice president.
