Unsettling Details of San Diego Mosque Attackers’ Ideology Uncovered

The gunmen involved in the tragic attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego left behind a disturbing manifesto filled with hateful ideology. Reports indicate that both suspects, 17-year-old Cain Clark and 19-year-old Caleb Vasquez, may have crafted this 75-page document before their fatal actions.

This manifesto conveys an alarming vision of chaos, advocating for a race war and societal breakdown. It intertwines a variety of extreme ideologies, encompassing anti-Trump, anti-liberal, and other prejudiced sentiments, rooted in deep-seated grievances and nihilism.

Law enforcement believes they possess a genuine copy of this manifesto, which features symbols linked to Nazi ideology, such as the Black Sun and references to the violent group Atomwaffen. Online profiles associated with Clark further display Nazi motifs, including imagery of Hitler.

One disturbing assertion, attributed to Clark, reveals a dismissal of both left and right ideologies, showcasing contempt for all sides. Additionally, the authors draw inspiration from notorious figures like Ted Kaczynski and Timothy McVeigh.

Reports indicate that the manifesto venerates Brenton Tarrant, the 2019 Christchurch mosque shooter. The authors reportedly dubbed their document after him, labeling him “Saint Terrant” and considering his livestreamed attack a model to follow.

Witnesses describe a shocking normalcy preceding the attack. Jennifer Du, a neighbor, recounted seeing Clark just a day prior, while another resident expressed disbelief at the family’s connection to such a horrific act.

In total, Clark and Vasquez took the lives of three individuals, including mosque security guard Amin Abdullah, who bravely intervened during the attack. The other victims were identified as Nader Awad and Mansoor Kazziha.

Authorities are closely analyzing evidence from the suspects’ last moments, including a livestream that reportedly captured Clark shooting Vasquez before taking his own life. Investigators now suspect that at least one of the suspects acquired a firearm from a family member and left a note pertaining to racial pride. The FBI continues to delve into the details surrounding this tragic incident, including the execution of further search warrants.
