UK Pub Staff ‘Refuse to Serve’ Vance During Visit: Report

During his U.K. visit, Vice President JD Vance was reportedly forced to drop plans for a meal at an award-winning Cotswolds gastro-pub after “woke” staff allegedly refused to serve him, according to multiple reports.

The Bull pub, named Pub of the Year by the National Pub and Bar Awards and praised by The Michelin Guide, had no such objections last month when it hosted former Democratic vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

“Mutinous Staff” Allegedly Refused to Serve VP

Gossip site Popbitch reported: “The mutinous staff all said they wouldn’t come to work if they had to serve Vance and his wife. Facing staff grumbles and a barrage of negative press attention, The Bull refused his patronage.”

Locals told The Daily Mail they had heard similar accounts. “I am told by a reliable source that Bull staff did indeed object to JD Vance’s visit,” said resident Clare Shakya. “And their regulars have been backing them for it.”

However, a source close to Vance disputed the claim, telling reporters: “The Bull was included as a potential option for lunch, but the family ultimately decided not to go. There was never any indication from the Bull that he or his family were not welcome.”

Public House Group, which runs the pub, has not responded to a requests for a comment.

The Financial Times reported that former UK Chancellor George Osborne — a friend of Vance — helped plan much of the vice president’s itinerary at the request of former PM David Cameron.

The pub has historic ties to Dean Manor, the country house where Vance stayed. The manor was formerly owned by Tory peer Lord Chadlington, whose son is a director of the company that owns The Bull.

Social Media Erupts

The Bull’s Facebook page was flooded with both praise and condemnation.

One supporter wrote: “Thank you for standing up against fascism, corruption and evil.”

Another blasted the decision: “Glad we broke away from you worthless country… you’d all be speaking German if it weren’t for us.”
