Tucker Carlson Offers 2 Possible Answers Behind the Epstein List Controversy

The fallout continues after the Trump administration’s sudden reversal on disclosing the full Jeffrey Epstein files, with Tucker Carlson raising serious questions about who is being protected — and why.

In a lengthy on-air discussion with political analyst Saagar Enjeti, the former Fox News host laid out two possible explanations for why Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have walked back their earlier promise to release thousands of documents and tens of thousands of hours of Epstein-related footage.

“The current DOJ under Pam Bondi is covering up crimes — very serious crimes — by their own description. Why are they doing that?” Carlson asked.

DOJ Says “No Client List” — MAGA Calls BS

The firestorm reignited Sunday night after the DOJ released a memo claiming there is “no credible evidence that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals” and no client list to disclose.

But that directly contradicts Bondi’s own words just weeks ago. In May, Bondi said she was reviewing “stacks” of previously unreleased Epstein files, including videos and documents detailing abuse.

Now, the White House says those files don’t exist, and MAGA conservatives are demanding answers.

Carlson: Either Trump Is Involved — Or the Intelligence Community Is

According to Carlson, the Epstein about-face only has two possible explanations:

  1. Trump is implicated somehow, and the DOJ is protecting him

  2. U.S. and Israeli intelligence services are involved, and the cover-up is to protect them

Carlson immediately rejected the first theory, dismissing the idea that Trump participated in Epstein’s crimes — despite Elon Musk previously suggesting it.

“If Trump were on those tapes, Biden’s DOJ would’ve leaked it years ago,” Carlson said.

Instead, he focused on the intelligence angle:

“Intel services are at the very center of this story… and they’re being protected. That seems like the most plausible explanation.”

Epstein Wasn’t Just a Pervert — He Was a Tool

Carlson and Enjeti suggested Epstein wasn’t just a predator — he was a government asset, used to compromise others through blackmail and entrapment. And that may explain why neither the Biden nor Trump DOJ is eager to release the full truth.

“When they want to crush you, they put kiddie porn on your computer,” Carlson said.“That’s why I don’t even own one.”

Trump Still Has a Choice: Release the Files

While Bondi and Patel argue that disclosing more material could hurt innocent bystanders, Carlson noted that President Trump is known to override his aides — and may still choose to release the full Epstein files.

Many in the America First movement are begging Trump to do just that.

Because if the DOJ is shielding intel agencies or suppressing the truth to “protect institutions,” then Trump’s promise to drain the swamp is on the line.
