Donald Trump ripped into Indiana GOP leaders on Sunday. He blasted two “RINO senators” as well as Gov. Mike Braun is to blame for Indiana’s inability to get moving on redrawing the congressional map.
Braun who had spent months lobbying legislators and called for a special meeting to force action watched his plan crumble Friday after Senate Pro Tempore Rodric Bray acknowledged Republicans did not have enough votes. This means that the chamber won’t be meeting on December 1.
Trump posted on Truth Social that he was “very disappointed” in the Indiana State Senate Republicans led by Senators Rod Bray (a RINO) and Greg Goode for refusing to redistrict, which would have allowed Congress to gain perhaps two additional Republican seats.
He added, “The Democrats redistricting has been done for years and often illegally. All other Republican States that are appropriate have also done so.” He added, “These two politically correct ‘gentlemen’, and others, could deprive Republicans of the majority in the House. A very BIG DEAL!”
After Trump targeted Goode in his tweet, the Senator was attacked at home by a fake emergency call to summon police.
The Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to respond under the assumption that there was a domestic violence crisis. Goode stated that the deputies performed their duties in a professional manner. While this incident was unfortunate, it reflects the current volatile political climate. I am thankful that both my family members and myself are safe.
Trump is pushing hard for GOP-run state to redraft their maps in order to secure a Republican House majority by 2026. Meanwhile, blue states have been moving to increase their numbers. He said Sunday “nobody” was calling out California for its recent constitutional amendment that added five additional seats. And he blamed the “weak Republicans” who let Democrats have their way with “crazy policies and ideas that are bad for America.”

Even he took a shot Braun who is normally an ally.
“Also a friend, Governor Mike Braun is perhaps not working as hard as he could to gain the required votes. Mike Braun wouldn’t have been Governor without me. “It is very disappointing,” Trump wrote.
He urged primaries to be held against all Republicans who oppose redistricting.
They are a strong, intelligent, and patriotic state. The Senators Bray and Goode and those who will be made public this afternoon should do their job, and they must act now! “If not, we need to get them removed from office as soon as possible.”
As of now, thirteen Senate Republicans have publicly backed the initiative, while eight others remain opposed.
