Trump to Make His Debut at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Tonight, President Donald Trump will attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner for the first time while in office. This prestigious gathering occurs at the Washington Hilton in D.C.

Hosted by Oz Pearlman, a mentalist, the dinner is organized by the White House Correspondents’ Association. It serves as a celebration of the First Amendment, excellence in journalism, and fundraising for scholarships aimed at aspiring reporters.

Throughout his presidency, Trump chose to skip this event each year, opting instead for political rallies. His participation this evening will mark a significant moment during his time in office.

The program will kick off with red carpet coverage early in the evening, leading up to the main dinner set for 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

C-SPAN will stream the event live without commercials, beginning with red carpet arrivals at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. The core program will air at 8 p.m. ET across multiple C-SPAN platforms including C-SPAN.org and their YouTube channel.

Additional live coverage will be provided by CNN and MS NOW starting at 8 p.m. ET, accessible via cable or streaming services like YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV.

Besides these, USA TODAY and various other outlets will also livestream parts of the event on their websites, including YouTube.

Mentalist Oz Pearlman, known for his captivating performances, will host this year’s dinner, bringing a unique flair to an affair traditionally dominated by comedic acts.

Attendees can anticipate presidential speeches, awards, and acknowledgments for scholarships, blending formalities with Pearlman’s engaging mentalism.
