President Trump recently issued a strong warning to Iran following their hostile actions in the Strait of Hormuz. In a detailed post on Truth Social, he criticized the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) for breaching an agreement and attacking civilian vessels over the weekend.
The president pointed out that Iran’s gunfire was aimed at ships from France and the United Kingdom, marking a blatant violation of the ceasefire. He noted that these actions were far from acceptable.
Trump reiterated that the United States does not have an intention to engage in the Strait of Hormuz, despite its crucial role in global oil transport. He mentioned that several vessels are now on their way to U.S. ports in Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska.
He vowed to escalate actions unless a satisfactory deal is reached soon. Trump declared, “We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran.”
“NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!” the president emphasized, insisting that if Iran doesn’t agree to terms, they will face swift military responses.
Trump revealed that negotiations are set to continue in Islamabad, Pakistan. He noted that Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will be heading there for further discussions.
These tensions follow Iran’s recent fire on civilian ships, especially after a claim that the strait would remain open. Iranian officials have indicated that the IRGC maintains full control of the waterway, stating it would stay closed due to ongoing U.S. blockades.
Amidst these developments, Trump convened a meeting at the White House, signaling that military options remain on the table as the ceasefire conditions evolve.
