President Donald Trump took to Truth Social early Sunday to unload on radio personality Charlamagne tha God, calling him a “racist sleazebag” and a “Low IQ individual” after Charlamagne appeared on Lara Trump’s Fox News show and speculated that the Epstein scandal could be used to push MAGA out of the GOP.
“Why is he allowed to use the word ‘GOD’ when describing himself?” Trump wrote.
“He’s a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done.”
Charlamagne Says Epstein Scandal Could Weaken MAGA
Appearing on “My View” with Lara Trump Saturday, Charlamagne — real name Lenard Larry McKelvey — suggested that the MAGA base’s focus on Epstein could open the door for “traditional conservatives” to retake control of the Republican Party.
“I think this Epstein thing is going to be a way for traditional conservatives to take their party back,” he said.
“The MAGA base isn’t letting this issue go.”
Charlamagne said he believed that GOP infighting over the Epstein case reflected a brewing “political coup” and added that he could see himself supporting Nikki Haley, calling Trump’s first term disappointing on economic promises.
Trump Fires Back: “He Didn’t Know What I Did”
Trump, in his response, blasted Charlamagne’s remarks and accused him of being uninformed about his foreign policy and economic accomplishments:
“He didn’t know that [I ended wars in] India and Pakistan, or wiped out Iran’s nuclear capabilities, or closed the horrendous open border…”
Trump listed off a series of achievements, including his administration’s tariffs, record job creation, and historic peace deals, insisting:
“This dope, Charlamagne, would vote for Sleepy Joe or Kamala? … Remember, one year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the ‘HOTTEST’ Country anywhere in the World. MAGA!!!”
Background: MAGA Base Pressures DOJ on Epstein
The exchange comes after growing frustration within the MAGA movement over a July 6 DOJ memo concluding that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, with no incriminating client list found.
Many Trump supporters dismissed the findings and have pressured the administration to release the full files. Trump himself blamed Democrats for stirring up what he called the “Epstein Hoax.”
Charlamagne: Trump Is a “Juggernaut,” But Failing on Promises
Despite criticizing Trump’s record, Charlamagne acknowledged that the former president is a “once-in-a-lifetime political juggernaut.” But he added:
“He campaigned on immediate change. Day one change… Right now, people are hurting.”

Trump also took a moment to praise his daughter-in-law:
“The very wonderful and talented Lara Trump, whose show is a big ratings success…”
While the segment was intended as a platform for Charlamagne’s views, it quickly turned into another flashpoint in the ongoing feud between Trump-world and left-wing media figures.
