Trump Provides Insight on Tiger Woods Following Recent Incident

President Trump reached out to golfing icon Tiger Woods following his latest DUI arrest, portraying Woods as someone who is experiencing significant physical pain due to his injuries, yet affirming that he’s “doing great.”

In a Tuesday phone interview, Trump stated, “I have” talked with Woods. “I think he’s doing great, he’s doing good.”

Woods, 50, who is in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, was arrested after his Land Rover rolled over in Jupiter Island, Florida. Officials reported finding two hydrocodone pills in his possession post-crash.

“He tested negative for alcohol, as you know, and he is under tremendous physical pressure from his various ailments, you know, the back and the leg,” Trump noted.

“He lives a life of pain. He has a lot of pain. He’s an amazing guy. He’s an amazing athlete. He does have pain,” the president added.

He emphasized that Woods “doesn’t have an alcohol problem, but he does have pain.”

Authorities indicated that Woods might have been influenced by “some type of medication or drug” when he collided with a truck and flipped over his SUV not far from his residence.

An arrest report revealed that Woods’ eyes were “bloodshot and glassy,” and his pupils were “extremely dilated” at the scene. He performed field sobriety tests and informed officers about his prescription medication use, highlighting his history of “seven back surgeries and over 20 operations on his leg.”

While a breath test confirmed no alcohol was detected, Woods declined to provide a urine sample, according to the report.
