Trump Mulls ‘Prosecuting Obama’ as He Commends Gabbard for Evidence Release

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released a trove of newly declassified documents this week that she says prove top Obama administration officials orchestrated a “treasonous conspiracy” to undermine the 2016 election and sabotage President Donald Trump.

Speaking to Fox News, Gabbard said the evidence shows the Obama White House “politicized and weaponized” intelligence to support the Trump-Russia collusion hoax, which triggered years of investigations based on knowingly false claims.

“These documents detail a treasonous conspiracy by officials at the highest levels of the Obama White House to subvert the will of the American people,” Gabbard posted to X.

Trump Responds: “Prosecute Obama”

President Trump responded swiftly Saturday night, praising Gabbard for exposing what many in the GOP have long called a deep-state plot against his presidency.

“Congratulations to Tulsi Gabbard. Keep it coming!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Great job by young and talented Harrison Fields on FoxNews. The Panel was fantastic on prosecuting Obama and the ‘thugs’ who have just been unequivocally exposed on highest level Election Fraud.”

Trump also shared multiple Fox News clips, including one featuring Gabbard stating:

“We had, in President Obama and his leadership team, people who did not want to accept the will of the American people in electing Donald Trump in 2016 — and therefore cooked up this treasonous conspiracy… to effectively launch a years-long coup against the sitting President of the United States.”

One segment described the revelations as a “blockbuster scandal.”

Republicans Vindicated

The release has triggered a wave of vindication across the Republican Party, as leaders who stood by Trump through years of media attacks and partisan investigations now point to Gabbard’s findings as proof of a coordinated takedown effort.

The materials reportedly show that Obama-era intelligence officials manipulated assessments, promoted the discredited Steele Dossier, and moved forward with launching Crossfire Hurricane, despite knowing Russia had not interfered in the 2016 outcome.

Gabbard has formally referred Obama-era officials to the Justice Department for possible criminal prosecution.

What’s Next?

The ball now moves to DOJ leadership, where Trump officials have hinted that prosecutions are not off the table. As Gabbard said Friday:

“There must be indictments for those responsible, no matter how powerful they are or were at the time.”
