President-elect Donald Trump announced Saturday that Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes will serve as chairman of the president’s Intelligence Advisory Board.
“I am pleased to announce that I will appoint Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes as Chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, which consists of distinguished citizens from outside of the Federal Government,” Trump announced in a Truth Social post.

“While continuing his leadership of Trump Media & Technology Group, Devin will draw on his experience as former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and his key role in exposing the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, to provide me with independent assessments of the effectiveness and propriety of the U.S. Intelligence Community’s activities. Congratulations Devin!”
The advisory board is an independent group within the the president’s office that is tasked with evaluating reports and performance from the intelligence community and reporting back to the president.
Nunes has served as the CEO of Trump Media and Technology Group, which runs the president-elect’s social media site, since leaving office in 2021.
During his time in Congress, Nunes chaired the House Intelligence Committee and was one of Trump’s most reliable allies. As chair of the Intelligence Committee, Nunes released a memo in 2018 detailing the FBI’s efforts to spy on Trump and key campaign associates under false pretenses during the bogus Russian collusion investigation.
Nunes’ memo included the findings that “material and relevant information was omitted” in applications for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants, which were improperly obtained by citing Clinton-Campaign funded opposition research, including the infamous Steele Dossier. The FBI falsely claimed that Steele was not the primary source even though an OIG reported concluded that he was.
Nunes will remain CEO of TruthSocial while serving on the advisory board, Trump announced Saturday.
