President Donald Trump on Tuesday dismissed a viral video showing objects being thrown from a White House window, calling it a fake clip created with artificial intelligence.
The Viral Clip
The short video, which circulated widely on social media over the weekend, appeared to show someone tossing objects out of an upper-floor White House window onto the lawn below.
Online speculation quickly spread, with some claiming the objects were thrown from the Lincoln Bedroom, while others floated conspiracy theories about hidden activity inside the mansion.
At first, a White House official suggested the incident involved a contractor doing maintenance while Trump was away.
Trump’s Response
At a press conference Tuesday, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy showed Trump the clip in real time. The president laughed and explained why he believed the video was fake.
“No, that’s probably AI-generated,” Trump said. “You can’t open the windows. You know why? They’re all heavily armored and bulletproof. They’re sealed. And number two, each window weighs about 600 pounds. You have to be pretty strong to open them up!”
He added that even First Lady Melania Trump had recently complained about not being able to let fresh air in.

Warning on Artificial Intelligence
Trump used the moment to raise broader concerns about the dangers of AI.
“One of the problems we have with AI, it’s both good and bad,” he told reporters. “If something happens really bad, just blame AI. But also they create things—you know, it works both ways. I see so many phony things.”
The White House windows were replaced during past renovations with sealed, bulletproof glass, making it highly unlikely anything could be tossed from them.
