Trump Accepts DeSantis’ Presidential Endorsement, Vows to Work with Him to Defeat Biden

President Donald Trump reacted to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis dropping out of the Republican primary race for the presidency and giving him his endorsement.

While in Rochester, New Hampshire seeking to put an early lock on the Republican nomination, Donald Trump said the following about Gov. DeSantis’ gracious endorsement.

“Before we begin, I’d like to take time to congratulate Ron DeSantis,” he said. “And of course, a really terrific person who had gotten to know, his wife Casey, for having run a great campaign for president,” he went on.

“He did, he ran a really good campaign,” he went on. “I will tell you it’s not easy. They think it’s easy doing this stuff right. It’s not easy, but as you know, he left the campaign trail today at 3:00 PM and in so doing, he was very gracious and he endorsed me, so I appreciate it. I appreciate that.”

“And I also look forward to working with Ron and everybody else to defeat Crooked Joe Biden. We will have to get him out,” he added.

Former President Trump said earlier he is “very honored” to have Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ support in the 2024 race following DeSantis’ suddenly dropping out on Sunday.

Trump added he looks forward to “working together with him to defeat Joe Biden.”

“Very honored to have his endorsement,” Trump told Fox News Digital. “I look forward to working together with him to beat Joe Biden, who is the worst and most corrupt president in the history of our country.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis dropped out of the 2024 presidential race on Sunday and endorsed Donald Trump.

“I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee and I will honor that pledge,” he said. “He has my endorsement because we can’t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear. A repackaged form of warmed over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents. The days of putting Americans last, of kowtowing to large corporations, of caving to Woke ideology, are over.”

“Winston Churchill once remarked that success is not final,” he also said. “Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts. While this campaign has ended, the mission continues down here in Florida. We will continue to show the country how to lead.”
