‘Trans’ Bad Bunny Hijacks Super Bowl

The NFL is facing a growing backlash after reports claimed Super Bowl halftime headliner Bad Bunny plans to wear a dress during the league’s most-watched event.

According to Radar Online, a member of the singer’s styling team said Bad Bunny is preparing a wardrobe choice meant to provoke controversy during the Super Bowl LX halftime show.

“A political thunderbolt disguised as couture,” the unnamed stylist reportedly said, describing the rumored outfit.

Another individual identified as part of Bad Bunny’s team warned that the league may be unprepared for what is coming.

“He loves controversy. He lives to push envelopes,” the source said. “The NFL has no idea what’s coming. He’s not playing it safe.”

Neither the NFL nor Bad Bunny has officially confirmed the report, but the claim ignited immediate outrage online, particularly among conservative fans already frustrated with the league’s direction.

Super Bowl LX is scheduled for February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The backlash builds on criticism that erupted months ago when the NFL announced Bad Bunny as the halftime headliner. Many conservatives accused the league of prioritizing activism over football and vowed to boycott the show.

The rumored dress escalated those concerns overnight.

“As if the Super Bowl halftime show couldn’t get any worse, Bad Bunny is planning on wearing a dress to ‘honor queers,’” conservative commentator Jon Root wrote on X. “If you weren’t planning already, you should boycott the halftime show. Shame on you @nflcommish for allowing this nonsense.”

The post quickly gained traction, racking up thousands of views.

Prediction market Polymarket Football also weighed in, predicting disaster for ratings, per Trending Politics.

“Bad Bunny plans to wear a dress during his 2026 Super Bowl halftime show,” the account posted. “This will easily be the lowest viewed halftime show of all time.”

The message drew more than 100,000 views.

Conservative pastor Rev. Jordan Wells urged fans to tune out altogether.

“This is exactly why I’m skipping the game this year,” Wells wrote. “The NFL went full woke, picked a guy who’s turning the biggest football stage into a pride parade. Football used to be about touchdowns, not drag tributes.”

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is one of the most successful artists in the world. His 2025 album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS topped charts globally and added to his long list of accolades.

Still, critics argue his political messaging and past comments have made him a polarizing choice for the Super Bowl stage.

The controversy follows previous remarks from Bad Bunny criticizing immigration enforcement and suggesting he avoided certain U.S. tour stops due to policies under President Donald Trump.

Trump himself reportedly slammed the NFL’s decision last fall, calling the selection “absolutely ridiculous” in an interview with Newsmax.

Despite the mounting backlash, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has defended the league’s decision.

“The NFL is not considering dropping Bad Bunny,” Goodell said in October. “I’m not sure we’ve ever selected an artist where we didn’t have some blowback.”
