Tragic Loss of Hardcore Music Icon at Age 38

Bo Lueders, renowned guitarist for the influential hardcore band Harm’s Way, has tragically passed away at the age of 38.

The band made the heartbreaking announcement via Instagram, expressing that he was a cherished friend and a talented musician. They highlighted his deep empathy and the magnetic energy he brought both on stage and off.

Details regarding the cause of death have not been disclosed. In their post, the band also provided the 988 suicide and crisis hotline for anyone in need of support during difficult times.

A GoFundMe campaign initiated by Colin Young, Lueders’ co-host on the “HardLore” podcast, aims to assist with memorial expenses in Chicago. The campaign described him as “Beloved to the world.”

Bohan Daniel Lueders, born in November 1987, co-founded Harm’s Way in 2006, which originally began as a side project from the punk band Few and the Proud but evolved into a significant act within the genre.

Over the years, Harm’s Way established itself as a prominent name in the hardcore scene, releasing a total of five studio albums and five EPs, with notable titles such as “Human Carrying Capacity” and “Become a Machine.”

Lueders also contributed to the launch of the “HardLore” podcast in 2022 alongside Young, which delves into the hardcore, punk and metal scenes.

In a recent podcast episode where he engaged with listeners, Lueders shared his thoughts on what he would want to experience for the last time.

“I just wanna drift and go peacefully,” he expressed.
