During an explosive interview on Steve Bannon’s War Room, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton unloaded on the Trump-era Department of Justice for its alleged role in burying the Jeffrey Epstein client list scandal — accusing them of protecting the powerful and even suggesting the cover-up may be worse than anything the Biden regime has done.
The leaked DOJ/FBI memo, first published by Axios, claims there is no incriminating client list, no credible blackmail evidence, and no reason to investigate Epstein’s powerful associates.
Fitton wasn’t buying it.
“I read the memo three or four times again this morning. I don’t think even the Biden administration would have written anything like this,” he told Bannon.
“This memo drips with contempt for people like you, Bannon, for Judicial Watch, for anyone asking questions.”
FITTON: They say the system “revealed no incriminating client list.” So, there’s a client list but it’s not incriminating, so therefore you can’t see it.
There was also “no credible evidence” that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. Well, give us… pic.twitter.com/5J14ZfcdN8

“So There IS a Client List — But It’s Not Incriminating?”
Fitton zeroed in on the DOJ’s own wording:
“The systematic review revealed no incriminating client list.”
He responded bluntly:
“So there’s a client list — but it’s not incriminating — so therefore, you can’t see it?”
Fitton also mocked the memo’s logic:
“They uncovered evidence, but it wasn’t enough to predicate an investigation? Give us the incredible evidence then.”
Judicial Watch Sues Trump’s DOJ for Hiding Epstein Records
Judicial Watch isn’t just criticizing — they’re taking action.
On April 8, 2025, Fitton’s legal team filed a lawsuit in federal court against the Trump DOJ for withholding records related to Epstein’s clients, associates, and possible government involvement, alleging violations of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
“Unless you have the records to back up the conclusions you’ve drawn in a case such as this,” Fitton said, “this isn’t worth much.”
DOJ Gave Memo to Axios — While Blocking Judicial Watch in Court
Fitton also blasted the DOJ for leaking the memo to Axios — the same outlet that received the Biden classified document interview tape while Judicial Watch was actively suing to obtain it.
“We were literally in federal court, and what do they do? They give it to Axios. Same playbook now with Epstein.”
Fitton says it’s part of a broader pattern — a coordinated cover-up designed to protect the elite while mocking anyone who dares ask questions.
