An Iraqi man has been charged in connection with a series of terrorist acts across Europe and North America, and he allegedly planned to kill Ivanka Trump. This scheme was reportedly spurred by the U.S. drone strike that took out Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.
The individual, named Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, is 32 years old and was taken into custody in Turkey before being extradited to the United States. He now faces numerous terrorism-related charges.
While the official court documents do not mention Ivanka Trump specifically, sources indicate that Al-Saadi made threats against the Trump family following Soleimani’s death. He was overheard stating a desire to carry out attacks to avenge the killing.
“After Qasem was killed, he [Al-Saadi] expressed that killing Ivanka would serve to retaliate against the Trump family,” said Entifadh Qanbar, a former Iraqi military attaché.
Reports claim Al-Saadi procured detailed layouts of Ivanka Trump’s home in Florida and shared menacing messages online targeting her and her family. One message highlighted how even federal protections might not suffice against their determination.
Federal authorities have linked Al-Saadi to Kata’ib Hizballah, an Iranian-backed militia affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, identifying him as a senior figure within its ranks.
He is accused of orchestrating or facilitating nearly twenty terror attacks aimed at Americans and Jewish establishments in various regions, including a firebombing incident in Amsterdam and attacks on synagogues in Europe.
Experts note that Al-Saadi had connections to Soleimani, emphasizing the ongoing threat both he and other operatives pose. He is currently detained in Brooklyn as the federal case unfolds.
