Senate Confirms Kristi Noem as President Trump’s DHS Secretary

President Trump’s pick for Homeland Security Secretary, Governor Kristi Noem, has passed through a confirmation vote on the Senate floor.

The South Dakota Governor won 59 votes, with 34 Democrats voting no.

Noem will follow Alejandro Mayorkas in this very important position. Mayorkas is not only a serial liar, but he facilitated the greatest mass invasion of illegal migrants into a country in global history. Mayorkas truly is an enemy of America like many of Joe Biden’s cronies. Noem has vowed to shut down Biden and Mayorkas’ CBP One “concierge service” to facilitate mass illegal immigration, The Gateway Pundit reported.

During her hearing before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Noem promised to “make sure that our nation is a nation with borders” and that she will enforce consequences against Biden’s criminal aliens. “425,000 plus people have criminal convictions, that are here illegally in this country, that our current administration is doing nothing to round them up and get them out of our country. We will be doing that immediately, and that will be the priority,” she said.

Fox News’s Chad Pergram reported the totals at approximately 12 pm EST:

Six Democrats, John Fetterman (PA), Tim Kaine (VA), Andrew Kim (NJ), Gary Peters (MI), Jeanne Shaheen (NH), and Elissa Slotkin (MI) voted in favor of Noem.

Noem is the fourth of Trump’s nominees to be confirmed by the Senate following Pete Hegseth’s close vote on Friday night. Vice President JD Vance was the tie-breaking vote for Hegseth’s confirmation.

The Senate will next vote on whether to move forward with the confirmation of Trump’s Secretary of the Treasury pick, Scott Bessent.

Per Fox, Health and Human Services Secretary nominee RFK Jr. will have a confirmation hearing on Wednesday. On Thursday, Trump’s Director of National Intelligence nominee, Tulsi Gabbard, will sit before the Senate Intelligence Committee for her hearing.

Kash Patel will sit before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday for his first confirmation hearing.
