A recent report revealed that prior to colliding with the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore Harbor, a cargo ship was observed drifting aimlessly and lacking control. Simultaneously, footage of the incident at 1:30 a.m. depicted the ship experiencing intermittent power outages as it drifted towards a support beam, ultimately causing the bridge to collapse into the water.
Video footage shared on X platform displayed smoke emanating from the cargo ship Dali even before it collided with the bridge.

According to an unclassified report from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the Dali experienced a loss of propulsion. ABC reported that the crew of the vessel attempted to alert authorities about the situation. The report indicated that the crew informed officials that they had lost command of the ship.
“The vessel notified MD Department of Transportation that they had lost control of the vessel and [a collision] with the bridge was possible,” the report said.
“The vessel struck the bridge causing a complete collapse,” the report said.
