Republicans Storm Out of Senate After ‘Shameful’ Action, Congratulate Dems for ‘Destroying’ Judiciary Committee

Even though they have been desperately exploring all possible avenues, Democrats have been unsuccessful in gaining control of the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court, with the exception of impeachment processes, is not subject to the political whims of political parties since it is an independent arm of government. That is precisely why Congress does not have the authority to tell the Court what to do.

That is not going to stop the “Democratic Party” from trying. The people who profess to be for democracy and against “insurrections” have, however, spent months attempting to discredit the Supreme Court by claiming that it does not deal with ethical concerns.

Justice Clarence Thomas and the other conservative justices on the court have become political targets for the radical left. It is clear to all political observers that the Democrats don’t sincerely care about ethics; they care about advancing their radical agendas. That has been on full display with their reckless disregard for actual standards and their blatant refusal to follow the rules.

On Thursday, the Democrats might have hit an all-time low in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Here is the breakdown on what happened.

Conservatives Leonard Leo and Harlan Crow were to be subpoenaed by the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Democrats. Relentlessly pursuing that mission, they chose to disregard the rules and concluded discussion without taking a vote on any Republican amendments—a clear breach of the rules of the Committee, according to Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR)—or discussing the nominations.

The Republican Party became incensed and slammed the actions of Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee.

They were cautioned about the route they were headed down by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR).

Durbin refused to recognize Sen. Marcia Blackburn (R-TN).

Cotton remarked, “Now Sen. Durbin’s not going to allow women to speak either. I thought that was sacrosanct in your party.”

“You’ve just destroyed one of the most important committees in the United States Senate, “Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) said. “Congratulations on destroying the United States Senate Judiciary Committee.”

The Republican senator from South Carolina, Lindsay Graham, blasted the Democrats for their “garbage” and condemned their attempts to use subpoenas to further their political agenda. He maintained that Republicans were consistently fair to them, whereas Democrats engaged in vicious political politics.

“No more,” Graham said.

After all the Republicans had already left the hearing, it was up to the Democrats to cast their votes. They hoped that by failing to reach a quorum, the subpoenas would be invalid.

In a statement from Harlan Crow reported by Fox News, he said, “The Judiciary Committee Democrats’ violation of the Committee’s own rules to issue an invalid subpoena further demonstrates the unlawful and partisan nature of this investigation.”

It is doubtful that merely complaining about it is going to stop the Democrats from continuing their lawless actions in the U.S. Senate. As they say, “all’s fair in love and war.” And it appears that the Democratic Party no longer has much love for the Constitution or the rules of the U.S. Senate.
