Former FBI Director Robert Mueller—who led the investigation into the Trump–Russia collusion narrative—is reportedly living in a memory-care facility, raising questions after House Republicans subpoenaed him to testify.
On Monday, House Oversight Chairman James Comer announced subpoenas for several high-profile figures linked to the Russiagate hoax and the FBI’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein.
Mueller, now 80, is among the individuals ordered to appear.
Subpoena for Sept. 2 Deposition
The Oversight Committee issued a subpoena for Mueller to testify on September 2 regarding an FBI investigation into Epstein from decades ago.
Other subpoena targets include:
-
Hillary Clinton – October 9
-
Bill Clinton – October 14
-
James Comey
-
Merrick Garland
-
Several former attorneys general
The sweeping effort is part of Comer’s probe into what he describes as a coordinated cover-up and abuse of federal power.
Mueller’s Reported Health Issues
Investigative journalist Paul Sperry reported that Mueller has been in a memory-care facility “for the past few years,” raising concerns about his mental fitness to testify.
“Sources tell me Mueller has been living in a memory-care facility for the past few years,” Sperry wrote.
Mueller has made few public appearances since his confused and halting 2019 testimony, where he struggled to answer basic questions and repeatedly deferred to his staff.
